Contemporary Impressionist Sergey Cherep, who was born in St. Petersburg, Russia, will demonstrate his painting technique at a downtown Rehoboth Beach art gallery, Friday. Oct. 19. Cherep, who has painted for 20 years, is known by his vivid oil painting and Monet-inspired techniques. He later moved to painting in a Post-Impressionist style. Cherep said he paints from one to seven paintings a day. Cherep attended the Serovo Art Institute in Russia and is also a professor at the Accademia del Verbanzo in Italy.
