PATRIZIA ATTI was born in Bologna in 1958, and licensed in 1982 at the Academy of Fine Arts with a thesis based on Andy Wharol.
In 1980 she receives the important award in graphics at the Clementina Academy with a work entitled "Metamorphosis of a butterfly".
In 1982, after the ending of artistic scolarship, she starts travelling all over the world: Canary Islands, Ceylon, Cuba, Mexico and Brasil, making portraits.
Since 1990 her artistic research turns from an "anthropological" quality to a "botanic" one: "PORTRAITS OF ROSE" blossom, and the gallery of portraits becames therefore the Garden of Roses.
The road begins in Italy with her first solo, and goes on in Swiss, where first a gallery, and after a famous bank give place to her blossoming.
In 1995 she makes an exibition in Milan and her work captures the stylist of the Maison Gucci, who calls her for a modern interpretation of the famous foulards.
The style of her roses is glamorous and she starts a partnership which carries on the production of her subjects.
Since 1990 she teachs picture techniques at the Arts School of Bologna, and in 1996 the first of her roses, called "Magna Mater", is chosen to be the advertising image of the institute.
In 1997 the impollination of the "Rose", queen of flowers, invades the States.
She presents her works in New Mexico: the land of enchantment, where she is invited to make exhibitions .
In 1998 her research on roses takes a picturesque shade suggested by Santa Fe sunsets.
In that way the roses of the Garden of Eden take birth.
The magic atmosphere and the brightness of the setting let her catch for the first time colours in a pure state.
By now she lives and paints between Bologna and Santa Fe. |
